We are pleased to be offering today this wonderful raised panel country all wood non electric ice box that used the blocks of ice to chill your food back in the 1890s to 1900s. These are getting more difficult to find as they got rotted out or were missing pieces. This one here has been well preserved. Someone put a hand finish on the old clear coating as there are some runs. The panels aren’t even cracked! It has the original hardware, raised panels and has the original Niagara refrigerator tag. The lift top reveals where the ice used to go. The door opens to show the two metal shelves and the metal lining. The only thing I see wrong with it is that there must have been a knot or maybe an animal gnawing on it, but the top of the left hand side of the lid has “chewwage”. I am not sure what else to call it, but you can see the photos. The overall size is 28 inches wide, 18 inches deep and 45 inches high. When you open the bottom door it exposes a 24 inch wide, 14 inches deep and 18 inch high compartment. The top is 24 inches wide, 13 inches deep and 14 inches high. It has all the metal parts on it. I am truly blown away by the quality and condition of this piece. Shipping starts at $295 for a driveway delivery in our normal area.
