We are pleased to be offering today fresh out of a coastal Massachusetts Victorian home is this match pair of barley twist heavily carved chairs with a leather seat and back. Dating from the 1880’s to 1890’s, please looks at the numerous pictures to see the numerous leaves and berries, barley twist posts, carved floral corner blocks, pierce carving up and down the back, barley twist cross stretchers and carvings all over. They appear to be in ox blood leather, but I have a hard time telling leather from vinyl. They are nice looking. The seats have a couple of lines in them that almost look like cracks and I am sure could be colored in. These would look great in an office, parlor or bedroom. The overall size is 19 inches wide, 19 inches deep, 46 inches high to the chair back and 19 inches high to the seat. You are getting the pair for one money. They are in the original dark oak stain that has aged to a beautiful patina over the years.
