SOLD Carved Oak Exceptional Lawyers Bankers Office Chair

We are pleased to be offering today one of the most stunning exceptional unbelievable in person totally professionally restored and refinished extra tall carved oak lawyers bankers swivel tilt office chair.  It dates from the 1890s.  This beautiful oak quarter sawn swivel arm chair is very difficult to find in the antique world.  We have taken this chair and completely pulled it all apart.  We have re-glued, sanded, stained a dark rich oak color, painted the cast iron components, put on big castors for ease of rolling and reupholstered in genuine black cowhide leather purchased from the Hartland tannery here in Maine that is well known for high quality leather goods.  It took a skin and a half due to the size of the chair.  This chair will hold a person of almost any size.  In between the arms is 20 inches arms wide and 23 inches deep to the edge of the seat.  The height of the chair to the padded headrest is 48 inches, but it will go up and down more.  The chair is gorgeous  it has brass tacks on the trim that highlights the black leather upholstery.  The overall size of the chair itself is 26 inches wide across the arms, 25 inches deep from the back to the front of the seta and 48 inches high. The height is adjustable.  It is completely reupholstered with new padding, re-glued and all set to go into the home or office.  In my over 45 years in the business, I have only had the good fortune to get approximately 6 of these stylish sized chairs.  I have two in inventory now and this is the first one I have restored.  I have one more that I am working on.  Look all over and you will never see one like this.  The condition is professionally restored.  On the black leather there is a couple of small wear spots in the leather and I think there are maybe three, but they are hardly noticeable.  We will try to detail out the blemish of leather before shipping and we think it adds character to the chair.  This is truly an investment minded antique.  Please look at all the photos to see how beautiful it really is.  We will start shipping this chair at $299 for our normal area.  Please contact us prior to purchase to confirm that you are within our normal area.
