We are pleased to be offering today this bed pan or chestnut roaster. It came out of a local estate and I honestly do not know much about it. I am a furniture dealer not a furnace dealer. It came out of a house with a lot of empire furniture, but I do not know how old it is. It has a long wooden handle and a brass riveted attachment to the handle. It is pierce cut so that the chestnuts will steam or whatever your put inside. I understand that these were put in to the beds to keep everyone warm on those cold winter nights. The overall size is 45 inches long and the brass dish is 11 inches round by 2.5 inches high. It has age signs, wear and tear, but nothing is broken. It is a good looking honest and old bed warmer. It will cost $22 to have this item shipped through the postal service.
