SOLD Antique William and Mary Two Piece Highboy Chest

We are pleased to be offering today this style of furniture that we do not see very often anymore, especially in this condition. This is a high-quality chest. The burl walnut fronts, and walnut solid wood is in wonderful condition. The hardware is all original. This is a high-quality chest on chest in the William and Mary style. I am not sure who made this, but the secondary wood is all tiger sawn oak which is a sign of high quality. It has the William and Mary style typical Jacobean style looking base joined together with the appropriate looking cross stretchers. It has three drawers along the base of the cabinet and the top has three large drawers and two small drawers. The drawers are dainty picture frame molded and dove tail. The locks are all there, but we do not have a key. This is a two-piece model which is yet another sign of high-quality furniture. The finish is a medium amber mellow patina that has aged since the 1920s era. It is beautiful in condition, looks and style. It shows minor nicks and dings from the age. The overall size is 39 inches wide on the base, 22 inches deep on the base, 32 inches high on the base, 69 inches high overall. It is a beautiful item that is in great condition.
