SOLD Antique Victorian Six Drawer Walnut Spool Cabinet by J&P Coats
We are pleased to be offering today this six drawer J&P Coats spool cabinet which appears to be walnut and was refinished a long time ago by the previous owner. Dating from the 1890's, It has all the original brass knobs. The drawers are all straight, but the lettering has been replaced with reproduction labels of the original lettering that would have been on the cabinet. The labels read J&P Coats, Black, White, Spool Cotton for hand & machine, Colors, and Best Six Cord. It has panel sides, a bevel edge top, and molded base. There are minor nicks and dings. The raised J&P Coats on the back of the cabinet has deteriorated on the bottom, but it is better than having nothing. The overall size is 26 inches wide, 19 inches deep and 22 inches high. The size of the drawers are 20.5 inches wide, 14.5 inches deep and 2 inches deep. People use these cabinets all the time to display coins, watches, jewelry, and other items. This one could even be used for an end table next to a sofa. Shipping starts at $165 for a driveway delivery in our normal New England delivery area. Outside the normal area will incur additional delivery charges, which could add on especially if you're on the West Coast.
