SOLD Antique Victorian Multi-Carved Molded Gold Gesso Oak Wall Mirror
We are pleased to be offering today this beautiful multi-carved molded gold gesso Victorian age wall mirror that dates from the 1880s to 1890s. A beautiful frame that has six different moldings on it to create the complete frame. It starts with outside solid oak, then lemon gold carved with a black background section, then reverse ogee solid oak, then a gold gesso that depicts flowers and leaves, then a lemon gold liner and an interior gold painted liner. There are a few rough spots here and there, but they are nothing serious and require someone studying it to notice. Other than that, it is in real nice condition and all ready to hang on a wall. Someone has replaced the mirror glass quite a while back. It has a wire to hang on the wall right out of the shipping box. The overall size is 25 inches wide by 36 inches tall. The size of the exposed looking glass is 13.5 inches wide by 24 inches high. The mirror is in good condition for being 120 years old.
