SOLD Antique Victorian Heavy Duty Carved Pedestal Stand
We are pleased to be offering today this exceptional solid oak pedestal, an extraordinary find that stands out and is an impressive weight of around 50 lbs. Perfect as a plant stand, trophy display, or bust holder, this pedestal offers substantial visual impact and durability. Its design is rounded in the front and flat in the back, making it ideal for placement against a wall. The top measures 10 inches by 8.5 inches, and the pedestal features intricate carved florals and bow tie motifs, with "SR1857" inscribed on the front panel. While we’re not sure what "SR1857" means, we don’t think it reflects the age of the piece, as we estimate this to be from the 1880s.
Despite its robust construction, the pedestal shows normal age marks consistent with being nearly 150 years old. Its overall size is 39 inches high, 15.5 inches wide at the base, and 10.5 inches deep. This unique piece adds a distinguished touch to any space.
