This beautiful Victorian Eastlake-era bookcase dates to the 1870s and is constructed primarily of walnut, featuring striking burl walnut panels across both drawer fronts. The drawers and shelves are accented with linear incised carved detailing, a hallmark of Eastlake design.

Decorative turned columns with stacked ring detailing flank the cabinet doors and are topped with molded capital blocks that visually support the upper cornice. The Victorian style is complemented by Eastlake-influenced linear reeded moldings, framed veneer drawer panels, and original period hardware.

The cabinet includes five adjustable shelves (four pictured), each featuring matching incised carved detailing along the front edge, along with paneled sides and traditional Eastlake dovetail drawer construction.
