SOLD Antique Victorian Civil War Era Walnut Secretary Desk

We are pleased to be offering today this wonderful civil war era burl walnut slant top secretary bookcase desk that dates from the 1860s in very nice as found condition. I am assuming it was refinished a long time ago as the condition is pretty nice. It has burl posts, burl trim pieces coming down the sides, applied bracket foot baseboard, raised panel burl walnut desk lid and art shaped carved doors. You can see where it was used for years as there are ink stains. We can only imagine what was hand written with a quill pen back in the 1860s from this desk. It is 35 inches wide, 72 inches tall and 22.5 inches deep on the base. We are going to add more pictures, so please check back if you are interested. It is in nice condition for the age. One of the pieces of molding under the bookcase top is bad and it will be replaced prior to shipping. Other than the ink stains, nicks and dings and a slight water spot on the top from plant it is in nice condition. Shipping starts at $285 for a driveway delivery in our normal area.
