This Antique Victorian Sideboard or Buffet features carved walnut, six doors, triple drawers, and a break front, and dates from the 1880s era. It is most likely of European origin, and is extra-large being 64 inches wide, 25 inches deep on the base, 22 inches deep on the top and 100 inches tall. This antique Oak Sideboard is a wonderful item, with raised panels galore on the front, sides, doors, and the triple door breakfront top has heavy crown triple molded top. It has three carved doors with carved details. There are shelves behind the triple doors. There is a 16-inch-high space between the base cabinet and the top cabinet that is supposed with a triple raised back panel and four fluted posts. The base has ribbon carving on the outside drawers and the center door has a lion face on it. The triple door cabinet bottom has fluted columns going down the sides and a step out multi-molded platform base. It is in a medium walnut stain finish. It would be great in an entranceway or in a commercial application. The old keys sometimes work and sometimes they don’t, so the locks should be cleaned. It is shocking the keys are still with the piece after all these years. On the top of the base cabinet behind the posts there is a crack that goes straight across. It is not structural as it is where the wood shrunk a bit and it cracked. Shipping starts at $485 for a driveway delivery in our normal New England delivery area.
