SOLD Antique Pair of Victorian Marble Top Night Stands
We are pleased to be offering today this wonderful pair of heavily carved walnut Victorian age 1890s to 1910s marble top night stands. They are simply beautiful to look at. They come with the hard to find backsplash which just makes them that much more appealing. They have a wonderful patina, hand cut dove tail drawer, marble lined cupboard doors, fluted tapered posts and end in a bun foot. The tops have rose colored marble, which is breathtaking to look at. You can see where one of the marble had a few tiny cracks and it has been previously repaired. It is something that you really have to look hard to see though. It looks just like the grain of the marble itself. The stands are in outstanding condition other than the line in the marble. One of the marble lined panels, which is in the back of the cupboard is missing on one of the stands. We can put a sheet of paneling in behind so that it looks finished if the buyer so desires. They are 16 inches wide, 16 inches deep, 8 inches high to the bottom shelf, 35 inches high to the marble top and 45 inches high to the carved backsplash. The size of the doors are 11 inches wide by 9 inches high. I cannot get over how nice and clean they area. Look at our other numerous antique furniture items that will retain their value for years.
