SOLD Antique Pair of Twin Period Sheraton Poster Beds
We are pleased to be offering today this wonderful pair of period style Sheraton pencil post twin size beds that date from the 1840s to 1860s. In previously refinished condition, these beds are either maple or birch which is stained a mellow amber color that has aged to a beautiful patina over the last 150 years. They are a great pair of beds featuring bolt in rails, traditional Sheraton fronts, tapered turn posts on the headboard, finial tops and a great looking shield board in the headboard of both beds. These are the type of beds that could easily be made into a canopy bed due the height of the posts. The size is 42 by 66 inches high. The height of the shield panel is 38 inches high. The inside dimension for mattress purposes are 74 inches long by 41 inches wide. they would actually take a modern day box spring and mattress. The fluted posts and gorgeous amber patina makes a stunning pair of beds to impress your guests. Shipping starts at $299 for a driveway delivery in our normal area.
