This Antique Office Chair is constructed of solid oak, and dates from the Victorian era (1890's). It appears to maintain its original finish; if it’s not the original, it was refinished a long long time ago. The only issue with the chair is that the reed cane seat is broken, but it’s an easy fix - most people replace this kind of seat with fabric cushion insert, which is a lot more comfortable. Check out the attractive pressed back detail, multi-turn spindles on the back and each arm support, the original metal rods keeping the arms nice and sturdy, and it rests upon a four-leg swivel cast iron adjustable base. Overall size measures 20.5 inches across the seat, 22 inches across the arms outside of the arms, 17 inches inside the arms, front to back of seat is 19 inches, and 45 inches high to the back top of the turned finials, the arms are 27 inches high, and the seat is 19 inches high in the picture, but keep in mind, it will adjust up and down.
