This is a refinished oak fancy-carved rocker with spoon carved posts, embossed gingerbread trim, a cutout shapely slat back, multi-turned spindles on the arms and legs, a stick and ball front, and even its original rockers. It dates from the 1890s and has been all refinished. The upholsterer did a fantastic job picking a beautiful expensive fabric and putting on plenty of cushion so it’s very comfortable. This is an outstanding old rocker at a very reasonable price. The overall size is 24 inches across the arms, 20 inches deep on the seat, 48 inches to the top of the posts, and 18 inches to the seat. It’s been all glued up, sanded, stained, sprayed, and is all set to go. It has beautiful characteristic marks that an antique like this should show.
