SOLD Antique Oak Gentleman’s Tall Chest – Original Finish
We are pleased to be offering today this beautiful original finish oak tall chest or gentleman’s chest with the carved backsplash all intact. It is a gorgeous chest dating from the 1890s to 1900s in the original dark oak stain finish that has aged to a beautiful patina over the last 125 years. It has two drawers on top that are dove tail and four large deep drawers below. The only thing wrong with this dresser is that when it came into the shop the two handles on the bottom were missing and we put on reproduction hardware that is similar, but do not match. The dresser is completely tiger sawn oak with solid oak posts going down into a cabriole leg, shapely bottom skirt, multiple molded shapely top and the carved backsplash makes the whole dresser. The overall finish is nice original. It does not have a key. The right-hand side on the top has a stain where someone must have had a lamp or plant previously. The overall size is 35 inches wide, 22 inches deep, 48 inches high to the dresser base and 54 inches high to the top of the backsplash. It is a fantastic dresser in clean condition. Shipping starts at $295 for a driveway delivery in our normal New England delivery area. Outside the normal area will incur additional delivery charges, which could add on especially if you're on the West Coast.
