SOLD Antique Massive 60-inch Hastings American Victorian Dining Table w/ Heads
We are so pleased to offer this amazing massive solid tiger sawn oak 60-inch round dining room table made in America by the Hastings Furniture Company back in the 1890s! It's got solid oak hand-carved rope molded edge, and we've fabricated four skirted leaves measuring 10.25 inches each, so when the table is fully opened there is no ugly gap. It took a while, but they are all identically matching the table. The table itself has been completely stripped, sanded, glued up, hand stained, has had multiple coats of sanding sealer and hand-rubbed satin sheen lacquer. This table will give you many, many years of carefree enjoyment. There's a lot going on with this table. I can't stress enough how heavy and massive this table is. It has a split pedestal base with a large round center leg that supports the center, and four 10.25 inch leaves that makes the table top measure 100 inches long when inserted. It has really large claw feet and lion heads, hand-carved rope edge on the table top and the skirted leaves. The center column is what we call a pumpkin column because it is fluted and grooved just like a pumpkin. All professionally restored, it is all set to go in your home. It opens and closes very easily. I've had a few of these over the years, but we don't see them very often anymore, as they are getting harder to find.
