We are pleased to be offering today this beautiful antique solid mahogany ball and claw Chippendale two door china closet that dates from the 1890’s to 1910’s in original condition. It is a great looking cabinet that is a slightly different style. Usually, they don’t come through with the induvial mullion glass like this one has on the front and sides. I have never seen it with the side glass. This cabinet comes with three shelves that are 14 inches deep, 34 inches wide and the space between the shelves are approximately 15 inches. The shelves have the plate grooves on the back and sides. The cabinet has a working lock with key. The cabinet sits upon four ball and claw cabriole legs. It has a triple flame broken arch finial crown molded top. It is a nice quality cabinet that is finished in a dark reddish brown mahogany stain that shows minor nicks and dings from normal wear.
The overall size is 39 inches wide, 17 inches deep and 80 inches high. It is a nice-looking cabinet that I rarely have had this model in over 50 years. It is a style and finish that will blend well with Victorian and walnut.
