SOLD Antique Leather Chippendale Wing Back Chair from England
This is gorgeous genuine 100-percent leather Chippendale wing back arm chair that just came in from England and probably dates from the last 20 to 30 years. It’s hard to date leather, but we’ve been importing it for years, and it’s always about the same age. This one is in dark oxblood, with antique brass tacks around the high shapely wings that come down into a cushioned arm, which also has brass antique tacks, and then into a cabriole-style Chippendale leg. It has a removable cushion and a buttoned and pleated back. It’s a traditional old wing back chair that is very popular in offices around the country, and in front of fireplaces, we might add. I have one sitting right in my master bedroom that looks really nice. The overall size is 36 inches on the outside of the wings, 32 inches wide on the outside of the arms, 19 inches wide on the inside, 24 inches deep on the cushion, 27 inches deep from back to front, 41 inches high to the top of the back, and 18 inches high to the cushion. There are some rub marks on the sides that will easily blend back in, but this chair is in overall great condition.
