This antique oak file cabinet is in original finish and made by the Yawman File Cabinet Company who is well known in the antique world for their high-quality office furniture. This sectional antique file cabinet dates from the 1890s in original finish. This antique file cabinet has three wide sections and four half size sections to make a variety of configurations. It has all the hardware except for a rod and two index card holders. It sits flat on the floor. Sometimes these had legs or a shoe foot, but this one rests on the floor and I don’t believe there ever was a base. This would be simply stunning all refinished. It has four standard size file cabinet drawers and 18 vertical hanging file drawers. People have been putting hanging folders on these tall ones that used to take business cards. The drawers work well. It has panel sides and is all tiger sawn construction. The cabinet does show nicks and dings from normal use over the last 130 years. The base cabinet has two standard size drawers and measures 33 inches wide, 25 inches deep and 12 inches high. The size of the inside of the drawers are 12 inches wide, 24 inches deep and 9 7/8 inches high on the face. They have the adjustable back plate in the drawers. The vertical drawers are 4.5 inches wide, 13.5 inches deep and 10 inches high on the drawer face. The sections in the middle 16.5 inches wide. The overall height of the cabinet is 62 inches high. The top sections are 17 inches deep. You are getting a removable top and seven stackable sections all for one money.
