SOLD Antique Federal Bookcase, Mahogany Bookshelf, Two Glass Doors
Mahogany bookcase can still see some of the wavy glass mullions on each door, which includes 13 individual panes of glass behind each of the sections! This antique bookcase dates from the 1870s, and features the desirable giant, beefy, hairy-paw claw feet. This was most likely constructed in Philadelphia, with flame mahogany accents all the way across the front and sides, underneath the crown molding top. This bookcase is in pretty good condition, with some chipping along the base. There are some cracks in the mahogany veneer, but overall this is in really impressive quality and condition for a piece that is well over 150 years old..
Measures 48 inches wide 14 inches deep and 59 inches tall. This bookcase has three adjustable shelves and they each measure 11 inches deep.
