This beautiful Victorian Lady’s Vanity features burl walnut, a white marble top drop center, and a full size dressing mirror. Dating from the 1870s, this came in with some of the hardware missing. We replaced it with an accurate reproduction tear drop pull that looks like the original ones, and it looks great. This Antique Dresser / Vanity has double drawers on both sides of the drop center and two large drawers in the base. Look at the circular carved keyhole escutcheons on the large drawers! The size of the circle is 5.5 inches wide! The crest leaves nothing to be desired as it is hand carved solid walnut with dentil molding and burl panels all the way down, including the drawers. The drawers of this antique Victorian vanity dresser are all hand cut dovetail. The white and gray grained marble is in great shape with an ogee bevel edge and round corner tops and a multi-bevel edge on the inside marble on the bottom. I love anything with candle shelves, and this antique vanity is no exception. It is a nice antique all the way. It appears like it features the original patina, but I believe it was clear-coated somewhere along the way. It has the normal nicks and dings, but it is in great shape for the age. The overall size is 50 inches wide on the base, 22 inches deep, 36 inches high to the top two pieces of marble, 25 inches high to the drop center and the overall height is 92 inches. The looking glass must have been replaced at some point because it is in great condition with no age marks. The size of the looking glass is 18.5 inches wide by 46 inches high.
