SOLD Antique Burl Walnut Dresser, Victorian Marble Top Drop Center Chest
This antique drop center dresser features a wonderful white and gray grained Victorian marble top. Dating from the 1870s in beautiful original condition, the marble on this antique dresser is extra clean with an ogee bevel edge, round corner edge on the two top shelves, and the center marble has an ogee bevel edge on all three sides. The dresser frame is in the original finish. It appears the knobs are all original as well. It has big round circular keyhole escutcheons, but no key. It has two large drawers, two small drawers, two oil lamp shelves on the back of the shapely mirror and the pinwheel designs above the candle shelves and underneath the top crest. This antique marble top dresser has burl walnut panels, and the overall size is 43 inches wide, 20 inches deep and 85 inches high overall. The height to the drop center is 28 inches and the height to the other marble tops is 34 inches high. I don’t see much wrong with it other than the normal nicks and dings for being over 100 years old. Shipping starts at $365 for a driveway delivery in our normal New England delivery area.
