SOLD Antique Dining Table, Round Mahogany Ball & Claw Banquet Table-10 Feet!!

This stunning antique dining room table is constructed of solid Mahogany wood and dates from the Victorian era of the 1890s and is 54 inches round with Six carved leaves. In great, original condition, this stunning antique banquet table features a dark red brown mahogany stain, and a heavily carved base. The base of the table is an impressive large bulbous detail column, with abundant carved details, carved wings on the elbows of the legs, and flowing into a very very attractive and nicely detailed ball and claw foot. This table boasts a stunning patina that only comes from an antique dating over 130 years old, especially around the ball and claw feet.

The base is really special, please see photos, as they will do a better job than I can. Another thing that makes this table remarkable is the gadrooned carving around the table top's edge. Where the two sides of the table meet, the carving gets a little more elaborate, and on the six leaves that measure 10 3/4 inches each, you have the same detail so there’s an additional little carved detail every time the different leaves meet; it's just another aspect that lends to the fact that this is a very nice, quality antique.

This antique dining table is in very nice original condition, but it is our opinion that it would look fantastic with the table refinished in our professional restoration shop. There is an old repair on the skirt of the table and a chip on the base. We will detail these out for you before shipping, if you remind us at the time of sale. Table sets on casters for ease of movement, measures 54 inches in diameter, and opens to a total of 117 inches. As we said earlier, there are six leaves that each measure 10 1/2 inches each. The base is a split pedestal and the height from floor to the tabletop is 29 1/2 inches.
