We are pleased to be offering this much better than average Civil War era solid black walnut hand carved turtle top marble parlor stand to you today. Dating from the 1860’s era, what makes this piece truly nice is that on each of the four outside legs there are berries and leaves carved into the solid black walnut, and has the end trims carved with leaves and berries on each end. It has a solid black walnut multi-molded top, which follows the contours of the white and gray grained marble top that is just about perfect. The marble has a small stain that is about the size of a pencil eraser, but you must really look to notice it. The four legs are joined together with a cross stretcher and a big leaf & berry finial. It has the original castors and its original finish. The overall size is 32 inches wide, 22 inches deep and 29 inches high. It is a beautiful, gorgeous piece of Victorian furniture.
