We are pleased to be offering today this beautiful mahogany first period Biedermeier single door flame mahogany wardrobe with a hand cut dove tail drawer in the base resting on bun feet. Dating from the 1850s, this wonderful item just came in on our last container and is in awesome condition. Look at the finish and the color as it doesn’t get any better than this! It has a few minor flaws, but overall it is outstanding. It comes with a key and we do not guarantee the locks to work as they are finicky and usually need to be oiled and adjusted. When you open the door it has a hanging rod with plenty of storage space. There is a drawer in the base for additional storage of small goods. It has a block back foot, a round cushion front foot and extended molding and a face front that is also flame mahogany. The finish is all original. The overall size approximately 38 inches wide, 21 inches deep and 77 inches high. The inside dimensions for hanging purposes is 35 inches wide, 18.5 inches deep and 60 inches high from the base to the hanging rod. The inside is all pine interior.
