Antique Victorian Jeweled & Beveled Leaded Glass Back Cupboard – 1890s #22467

Offered today is a rare and unique back bar cupboard from the Victorian era, dating to the 1890s. This jeweled and bevel leaded glass piece was originally purchased from the Newport Inn in Newport, Maine in 1975. It has been in the same family since then, passed through generations, and has been well cared for.
The top features two beautiful half-round leaded glass cabinets joined by a beveled mirror. Each cabinet showcases elongated beveled cut crystals above, accented by multiple faceted round cut jewels, creating a striking shimmer in the light. The upper section is supported in front by fluted pillars, giving the piece a refined architectural presence.
For many years, this back bar was displayed with an antique wooden ice box set between the pillars and has served as a storage and display piece for both liquor bottles and Victorian crystal. The cabinets are perfectly sized for bottles, glassware, or decorative display, making it a functional and elegant addition to any bar or dining room.

Condition:
Overall very good condition, consistent with age. The left cabinet has a small piece of molding missing at the top. The tall square wooden bases beneath the pillars were added at a later date to provide support. Otherwise, the piece remains sturdy and well preserved, with the jeweled and beveled glass in excellent shape.
