This outstanding example of a Victorian solid black walnut banquet dining table, dating from the 1870s, is an impressive antique dining table that features a richly figured walnut top, dramatic carved pedestal bases with scroll detailing, and the ability to extend into an enormous banquet-size table measuring up to 14 feet long.

The table currently includes two extra-wide factory leaves that provide generous dining space when installed. In addition, there is approximately 80 inches of available extension space remaining, allowing the table to be expanded even further with additional custom leaves if desired. The carved double pedestal base is mounted on original casters, making this substantial table surprisingly easy to move and position.

Condition:

The table retains a wonderful original 150-year-old finish with beautiful age and character throughout. It shows normal antique wear including expected nicks, dings, surface marks, and signs of age and use, all consistent with a table of this period. Overall condition is really very good structurally and cosmetically, and the table presents beautifully as-is.
