SOLD Antique Mahogany Inlaid Custom Corner China Closet
Dating from the 1940s era, this is a solid mahogany inlaid corner china closet that is most likely of European origin. The closet has four individual mullioned glass doors top and bottom, and offers lots of space in this dark reddish-brown mahogany finish closet. Each door has 13 individual pieces of glass, supposedly to represent the 13 colonies. The key opens the doors to expose double shelves on top and a single shelf in the bottom, with oval pinwheel inlays, and the top of the cabinet is a crown molded open top, with a flame finial in the center. The overall size is 36 inches wide, 24 inches deep, and 81 inches high. When it sits in a corner, it takes up 26 inches of wall space on both sides. It had a crack on the top molding that has been repaired by our cabinet guys, and I can’t even tell where it was. It’s in great condition, with only minor nicks and dings.
