SOLD Antique Library Table, Ladies Writing Desk

This antique writing table or library table is constructed of solid, black walnut, has a fabric felt top, shapely, carved legs, diamond accents, and a pull out drawer.

Dating from the 1880s, this antique writing desk has its original finish, and tea cup and saucer pulls, hand cut dovetail drawer, and on the opposite side, there would have been an additional set of tea cup and saucer pulls, but they have broken off and all that’s left is a little circle. Most people would not know that the little pulls are missing, but we’ve been doing this for a long time so we do. Long story short, the average person probably wouldn’t be able to tell there was anything missing. The fluted, multiturn legs extend to a fancy carved turned base, which is all nice and intact. There’s one small piece of molding missing, which I believe we can detail out before shipping. Recently, someone has refelted this top because it’s in good condition.

The overall size is 38 inches at the widest point, 23 inches deep from front to back, and 31 inches tall. The cubby hole is 18 inches wide and is 24 inches high.
