SOLD Antique Dining Room Set, Mahogany 12 Piece Inlaid Dining Suite

This outstanding dining room set features mahogany, twelve-pieces, inlay, and was sold by the Snyder Furniture Company out of Grand Rapids Michigan back in the 1880s to 1890s era. This antique dining set is beautiful. The three case pieces and the table all have a maple pin stripe inlay, and the sideboard has diamond point oval inlay panels on the door. All the legs have pin stripe inlay, as well as the tabletop skirt. The only thing that does not feature inlay are the eight mahogany dining room chairs. This antique dining room set consists of 8 dining chairs (1 armchair and 7 side chairs), bow front server, double drawer with double door sideboard, glass side and glass front china cabinet, and a round dining room table that comes with five factory leaves. The set is in nice original condition. The tabletop shows wear marks from normal use and we recommend the top and leaves be refinished but have left it original If the buyer so desires, we can sand and stain the tabletop and leaves for an additional $185.00. A lot of people like the originality, so we sell it like it is. It has fretwork backsplashes with vase type finials on the server, sideboard, and china cabinet. It is a pleasure to see a set like this in such lovely condition. Snyder must have been a high-quality shop because the construction is wonderful, and the case pieces are nicely done. The drawers have dust covers inside, there chairs are heavy, and the table has a rack for the leaves. The whole set is in really nice, original, old condition. The china closet glass panel is broken on the left-hand door, and we will replace it at no charge prior to shipping. Other than a few little spots, this antique dining room set is in nice, untouched condition. The dining room table comes with the four outside legs and the center leg. The dining table is 54 inches round and 30 inches high. The table comes with 5 nine-inch leaves. When the five leaves are inserted, it opens to be 100 inches long. The table must have had a tablecloth on it, and it should be sanded and refinished as it has the alligator finish on it. The table is stout, sturdy and nice. The dining room chairs have a pretty brocade fabric that is quite usable. We had to glue up two of the chairs at the glue joints, so they are all tight and sturdy. The overall size of the armchair is 20 inches wide across the seat, 24 inches wide across the arms, 20 inches deep, 19 inches high to the seat, 27 inches high to the arms and 41 inches high to the back. The side chairs are 18 inches wide, 18 inches deep, 19 inches high to the seat and 40 inches high to the chair back. The server has a shelf on the bottom, wonderful backsplash, and a bow front inlaid dove tail drawer. The overall size of the server is 36 inches wide, 18 inches deep, 37 inches high to the top of the cabinet and 43 inches high to the backsplash. All the pieces retain the original castors. The next item is the sideboard, which is 60 inches wide, 22 inches deep, 40 inches high to the top of the cabinet and 50 inches high to the top of the backsplash. The two center drawers are 24 inches wide, and the doors are 13 inches wide. It retains all the original hardware and castors. There are locks, but there is no key. Lastly, is the china closet. The china closet is a double door and glass sides. It comes with three glass shelves at fixed heights. The overall size is 42 inches wide, 16 inches deep, 60 inches high to the cabinet top and 68 inches high to the top of the backsplash. There is a cracked glass on the front door that we will replace prior to shipping. It is a wonderful set that is in amazing condition for the age. I noticed there is a couple of small chips of wood under the left-hand door on the sideboard. The set is in real nice original untouched in a dark brown mahogany stain.
