Dimensions: 52” W × 18” D × 71” H
Shelves: Three glass shelves, approximately 12” deep
Outstanding circa 1890 Victorian tiger oak china cabinet with an exceptional combination of curved beveled glass, a full mirrored back, elaborate carving, and its beautiful original dark oak finish. This is a substantial and highly decorative Victorian display cabinet, designed to showcase china, crystal, collectibles, or other treasured pieces from nearly every angle.
The cabinet is surrounded by glass, including the large beveled glass center door and remarkable curved glass side panels. Even the curved side glass is beveled — an especially attractive detail that gives the cabinet a much more refined appearance. A full mirrored back reflects the contents of the cabinet and allows light to move throughout the interior.
Inside are three approximately 12”-deep glass shelves, providing a tremendous amount of display space without visually weighing down the interior.
The cabinet’s woodwork is equally impressive. A heavily carved floral and foliate frieze runs across the upper front beneath detailed molding. Carved and reeded columns flank the center door, while the lower case is supported by graceful cabriole legs terminating in beautifully carved ball-and-claw feet.
The tiger oak retains its original dark oak finish, with wonderful aged color and patina. The natural grain remains visible throughout, giving the cabinet the warmth and character that can only come from more than a century of age.
At 71” tall and 52” wide, this is an impressive statement piece without being excessively deep, making it particularly well suited for a dining room, living room, library, or collection display.

Condition
Wonderful original antique condition. The cabinet retains its original dark oak finish with only minor nicks, dings, scratches and finish wear consistent with approximately 135 years of age and normal use.
The three glass shelves are present. A couple of the shelves have minor chips along the edges. These are age-related imperfections and do not detract significantly from the overall presentation of the cabinet.
There is no key included with this cabinet. The lock is therefore sold as-is and its functionality is not guaranteed. Replacement antique-style keys can often be sourced or fitted by a locksmith if desired.
The beveled and curved glass gives the cabinet tremendous visual appeal, and the original finish remains especially attractive.
Please review all photographs closely, particularly the glass shelves, curved and beveled glass, carved details, feet and original finish, as they form an important part of the condition description.
