We are pleased to be offering today this beautiful custom bench made satinwood maple banded flame mahogany and straight mahogany Sheraton cookie corner server that dates from the 1870s era or centennial as they call that period. We purchased this server along with a benchmade sideboard out of an estate sale. The two items came out of the Boston area. The sideboard was actually written up in a Boston magazine. This one just came out of the house with it and it is gorgeous. This is a very desirable server with two curved banded flame mahogany front inlaid drawers sporting the original oval brass hardware with the eagles. It is cookie corner on the solid mahogany top and has multi-turn spool fluted turned legs. The finish is all original and has minor flaws here and there, but the overall condition is nice. The top has a few minor nicks and dings where it has been used over the years. We haven't done anything to it, but if you would like to have top refinished it is an option that can be discussed. The overall size is approximately 37 inches wide, 21 inches deep and 32 inches high. The size of the drawers are 4 inches deep on the bottom and 3.5 inches on the top, 30.5 inches wide and approximately 15 inches deep. This is the style of antiques that you always want to buy to invest it as their value always goes up as they are not factory made pieces. These pieces were made meticulously by hand, there was quite a selection that came out of the Boston area in the Centennial period. This beautiful server is finished in a light reddish brown and has normal wear marks on the top. It is a really nice clean beautiful piece that we are pleased to be offering.
