SOLD Antique Bookcase, Oak Globe Wernicke Sectional Bookcase – Rare Size
This Globe Wernicke Sectional Bookcase is a very rare size, measuring only 25.5 inches wide, and dates from the 1900's. This oak bookcase has it all! It has two labels still intact on the back, saying the top section is 8.5S and the next section is 10.5S The bottom section has a door height of 13.25 inches. This has a rolled front top, banded metal size and the drawer base. The overall size is 25.5 inches wide, 13 inches deep and 47 inches high overall. It comes with the original knobs and hardware. The top was all stained, so we brought it in to the shop. We striped, sanded, stained, and re-sprayed the top to color match the bookcase. The bookcase is all nice and refurbished, but not refinished. The size of each glass door starting at the top is 9.75, 10.75 and 13.75 inches high on the face of the drawers. We had to replace one piece of glass. You are getting the three glass doors section, the top section, and the bottom drawer section for one price. A similar set just sold at a local auction the next size smaller that had 2 plain glass sections for $1750.00!!
