We are pleased to be offering today this wonderful original finish heavily carved press back children’s rocking chair that even has the original cane seat. I have looked this rocker all over and the only thing I can see wrong is that the caning underneath the seat has two support screws for extra support of the splining, which is hard to see. It is nice original finish with a beautiful heavily carved embossed back with multi-turn spindles, multi-turn outside posts, shapely cut out arms, turnings all through and solid oak rockers. The back is 4.5 inches high. The overall size Is 16 inches across the arms, 13 inches from the back to the front, 27 inches high to the back and 13 inches high to the seat. If you are looking for original finish, than this is a nice investment piece. There is a little roughness on the very top edge of the pressback top and a little bit of loss of finish on the top of one of the arms.
