SOLD Oak Up and Children’s High Chair – Original Condition
We are pleased to be offering today this wonderful original finish children’s high chair rocking chair that dates from the 1890s in about as original condition as you can find. It is a great chair that makes into a stroller in one adjustment and if you lower it all the way down it makes into a rocking chair. So you get a rocker, stroller and a high chair all in one piece. It has the original cast iron wheels, original dark finish, original tray and original footrest. It is amazing that it is original, untouched and not damaged. It is finished in the dark stain. It came out of a farmhouse in New Hampshire. It even has the original cane seat. The only thing I can see is that a small piece of the spline in the back is not there. It tilts a bit to one side, but I believe it is the way the mechanism is aligned and I believe it can be straightened out. It does not affect the way the chair works. It is a great chair that is 18 inches wide, 22 inches deep, 40 inches high as a high chair and 25 inches high as a rocking chair. It is a great original finish piece.
