This antique Victorian Eastlake era walnut bookcase dates from the 1870s to early 1880s and features a classic architectural case design with beautifully turned column details flanking the glass-front doors. The upper section offers four adjustable interior shelves, while the lower section includes two drawers with original hardware and decorative burl walnut accents across the drawer fronts.
The cabinet showcases paneled sides, Eastlake-style dovetail drawer construction, and rests on its original caster wheels, allowing for easy positioning. The warm walnut finish highlights the natural grain and layered veneer work throughout the piece. The case appears to have been refinished at some point in its life, giving it a refreshed yet still authentically antique appearance.
This is a substantial and elegant Victorian storage piece, ideal for use as a bookcase, display cabinet, or library case in both traditional and transitional interiors.
