SOLD Victorian Tall Marble Top Umbrella or Trophy Stand
We are pleased to be offering this unbelievable, rose colored marble top stand to you today. Dating from the 1880s, we acquired this piece out of a mansion in Vermont. The overall size is 24 inches wide, 18 inches deep on the marble and 46 inches high. It is an umbrella stand, but was being used when we bought it for displaying a trophy on, which we thought was pretty cleaver. Or use it as a hostess stand, or to display a stained glass lamp.
I believe this is either dark cherry or walnut, but am leaning towards cherry with original dark brown finish. The home this came out of was so entirely stunning that we happily purchased the contents of its 11 bedrooms. There is a hole in the bottom that indicates that this is also an umbrella stand or stand to hold walking sticks and canes at one time, but I am not positive, so will leave for you to speculate.
