We are pleased to be offering today this wonderful tiger sawn oak Victorian age mantle cabinet that dates from the 1880s to 1890s in light oak finish. It is a most unusual cabinet that comes with two factory leaded doors that opens to reveal a storage area for your dainty dishes. It has carved pillars coming up both sides with acanthus carved pilasters, applied carving that is all still intact, block front base, egg and dart molded doors and a wonderful original bevel glass mirror that does show signs of age. It is a really nice piece. These are really tough to find and we were fortunate to find two in one home! The overall size is 55 inches wide, 12 inches deep and 78 inches high overall. The size of the two leaded doors are 35 inches across and 40 inches high. As I look at this closer and closer, there are a couple pieces of gingerbread carving missing but you will really have to study it to see it as I missed it the first two times. This is a unique piece with big tiger sawn pillars and bevel glass mirror that has silver wear. A lot of people will re-back the mirrors. If the buy so desires, we can provide a quote to do so. It has a two shelf interior. I bet most people haven’t even see one of these cabinets before.
