We are pleased to be offering today this beautiful pre-Civil War era Victorian mahogany and walnut hand carved rose flower decorated marble top turtle top parlor stand that dates from the 1850’s to 1860’s era. It is a really nice piece. It has a few small pieces of carving missing by the carved flower petals. There is a tiny piece of veneer chipped off on the leg that we will detail out prior to shipping if you remind us at the time of the sale. The overall size is 40 inches wide, 26 inches deep and 29 inches high. It has a serpentine skirted base with hand carved roses on each peak of each side that is unique. It has carved flower petals on the corner blocks. It has carved elbows on the cabriole legs. It has a very dainty cross stretcher support that has a center finial with even the top of the finial still intact. The white and gray grain marble has minor little blemishes on the side. It has an ogee bevel edge and some old stains in it as shown in the photos. It is a nice Civil War era marble stand.
