SOLD Victorian Mahogany Ball and Claw Carved Dining Room Table

We are pleased to be offering this simplistic and highly desierable Victorian age solid mahogany ball and claw banquet dining table with carved fluted base to you today. Measuring 57 inches round, this dining room table comes with three factory 12 inch leaves. Dating from the 1890s, this table has gone through our professional restoration shop to be fully restored/refinished. The table extends to a total of 106 inches total length, so an additional leaf could be made if you desire, just let us know and we will get you a quote for that addition. The table currently opens to 93 inch with the current three leaves installed.

This dining room table features a solid mahogany top with a dainty little bevel routed edge and a tiny routed applied molding on the rolled skirt. When you open it up, it shows the original center leg, along with the split, fluted, acanthus carved column pedestal that ends in four stout and sturdy ball and claw talon feet. The table has been finished in a dark brownish-black mahogany stain finish - it would remind you of an old piano finish. This color is very popular, and we have been trying to find a dining room table in this style and color for a long time - it wasn't easy!

This dining room table has multiple coats of applied satin sheen lacquer, for years of carefree use. We have replaced the castors with reproduction wooden wheel castors for ease of use. The overall size is 57 inches round by 29.25 inches high.
