We are pleased to be offering today this wonderful set of 6 nice looking detail mahogany Victorian French style balloon back carved dining chairs. They consist of six wonderful chairs that have a wonderful detail back that is highlighted with ebony on the inside of the brown mahogany stained woodwork. The stripe seats are period looking. They were recovered as noted on the tag under the seats that was roughly 30-40 years ago. The seats are in nice shape. A couple of seats have stains on them, but they are usable. The chair base is all cabriole leg with carved skirts. They are in such nice shape I don’t want to say they are from the 1870’s to 1880’s, but I am going to say they are from the 1920’s just to be safe. The overall condition is good. There is one that needs the back re-glued on the seams that we will do. The overall size is 19 inches wide, 17 inches deep, 19.5 inches high to the seat and 39 inches high to the top of the carved crest.
