We are pleased to be offering today this set of 6 third period empire style dining chairs that consists of one arm chair and five side chairs. These came right out of a home in Maryland. It is very unusual to find cherry dining chairs. These date from the 1950’s era I would say. There are in pretty nice shape. One of the rear posts on one of the side chairs must have cracked as it was glued. It looks nice, but we will check it over. The arm chairs have some finish wear on the arms, which is normal for the age. The upholstered slip seats has fabric that is worn out on the corners and you will likely want to change them. The solid cherry frame has a wonderful design shape back, big wide center splat, cabriole style front leg, serpentine skirt and a flared back leg. They look like period chairs without the price. The overall size of the arm chair is 21 inches wide, 21 inches deep, 19 inches high to the seat, 26 inches high to the arm and 37 inches high to the chair back. The side chairs are 18 inches wide, 17 inches deep, 19 inches high to the seat and 36 inches high to the chair back. You are getting all 6 chairs for one money.
