We are pleased to be offering today this very unusual find in the oak world, a set of 10 matching claw foot Chippendale style tall back dining chairs that date from the 1890’s in original condition. Look at the pictures to see how the back flares and they are extra tall. They have cabriole claw foot legs, flared one piece back legs, carved knuckles on the arm chairs and they have slip on seats for ease of upholstering. The seats are ok, but there are soil marks. The chairs have a flared back that curls back and they have little pieces in the back of the chairs that are missing which we will detail out for the buyer if they remind us at the time of the sale. Someone spent a lot of money to adapt the chairs with castors on the front, which was done a long time ago as they almost look original. The set consists of 8 side chairs and two arm chairs. There is one leg on one chair that has a small chunk of wood missing and we will correct it prior to shipping. Other than that, normal gluing is needed for strength. Some people like these refinished, which includes the tightening, so please contact us for a quote for your desired work. You are getting the set of 10 for one money.
