SOLD Rare Pair of Bombay Hand Painted Decorated French Nightstands *REDUCED PRICE*
We are pleased to be offering today this pair of rare and scarce hand painted decorated Bombay French Victorian style night stands. These date from the 1950s to 1960s and are in wonderful condition. Look at the carved cabriole legs with flowers carved on them, carved elbows, the feet are scrolled and carved, the floral carving across the serpentine skirt and the Bombay sides and doors are gold scrolled outlined. I believe the colorful floral decorations on the tops and sides and along the fronts are all hand painted as you can see the brush marks in them. They are beautiful in a light beige background. They are a true pair as one door opens to the right and the other door opens to the left. They have plenty of storage. They are antique beige painted in the background. They have had a light amber color stain on it and you can see wear the age has worn through in a few places which adds a lot of charm and character to them. The overall size is 26 inches wide at the widest point, 22 inches wide in the front, 16 inches deep from the back to the front and 24 inches tall. The inside storage space is 17 inches wide, 12 inches deep and 12 inches high. They are real nice quality and I have seen these particular stands of this style bring as much as $1,800.00 for a pair before. This beautiful pair came out of a home on the Massachusetts coast and we are pleased to be offering them to you today.
