We are pleased to be offering today this wonderful fully restored flame mahogany civil war era ogee wall mirror that dates from the 1850s to 1860s. We have run this oversize mirror through our custom restoration shop and it has been all stripped, sanded, flecks of veneer replaced and a hand rubbed dark reddish brown stain finish to draw out the beautiful grains of the flame mahogany veneer that the craftsman of the civil war era picked out for this gorgeous piece. The back board is not original and the looking glass is brand new. Other than that, the frame is pretty much original from the 1850s. It is larger than usual being 24.75 inches wide and 37 inches high on the outside of the frame. The size of the looking glass 15.5 inches wide by 28 inches tall. It comes with a new backboard and is ready to hang on the wall. It is a great work of art.
