We are pleased to be offering today this pair of mission style andirons that I am guessing was made back at the turn of the century (1900's). The inside on the back of the legs it says "Cahill" in a diamond shape and the numerals "82". I don't know if it means 1882, but it is possible. They are a cool looking pair. They are metal with what appears to have a copper wash and hammered looks on the shafts and feet. They have a movable door knocker on the top below the shape finial top and a flower down at the base and detail spade feet. The irons that go into the fire aren't warped. They are 19 inches high, 10 inches wide and 20 inches deep. The height of the log holder is approximately 4 inches high. They are in great condition and could use a good cleaning. I just dusted them off after I got them out of the attic in a local house. Shipping starts at $35 for a driveway delivery in our normal area.
