SOLD Outstanding Victorian Burl Walnut Heavy Marble Top Parlor Stand
We are pleased to be offering today this stunning example of a Victorian shapely burl walnut fancy carved white and gray grained marble top parlor stand that dates from the 1880s in beautiful original condition. Even the little ball finials are all there. The burl is all intact. I wish you could see this table in person as the quality can not fully be admired in photos. It is a heavy table that is bigger than normal. It has fluted tapered posts that are supported with burl walnut accent legs with little buttons on all the feet. The trim around the shapely skirt has burl walnut accents, burl walnut corner blocks and buttons. The marble is beautiful. The only thing I can see that is wrong with it is that you can see where a plant sat on it for a while when you catch the light just right and the shine on the marble shows a small circle that is flat . The table is 34 inches wide, 26 inches deep and 31 inches high. It retains the original finish and castors. It is all tight and sturdy.
