We are pleased to be offering today this beautiful tiger sawn oak serpentine front shapely bevel glass ladies swivel mirror dressing vanity that dates from the 1890s. This is a very rare model. I have had tons of ladies vanities in my career, but this one has inlay all through it. It goes down the legs in the front, around the drawer, around the mirror and the mirror harp. It has a swivel mirror. Someone had used screws to make it swivel, but I believe we can find threaded rods for the buyer if they so desire. Even the drawer bottoms are tiger sawn oak. This is definitely a classy formal style. It has beautiful dainty cabriole leg, flared back tapered leg, serpentine drawer front all dove tail and a shapely ogee bevel edge top on the surface. The surface shows a couple of stains from perfume bottles or cups. The bevel glass mirror is in outstanding condition. The overall size is 34 inches wide, 19 inches deep, 28 inches high to the top of the base and 53 inches high to the top of the mirror. The looking glass is 24 inches across and 19 inches high. The mirror has a beautiful bevel edge. If it hasn’t been refinished, then it has certainly patinaed well over the years. It has cast brass Victorian hardware on the drawer. It is a great item. Shipping starts at $285 for a driveway delivery in our normal area which is New England. Please contact us prior to purchase with your zip code to confirm what it would cost you if outside of New England for shipping.
