We are pleased to be offering today this rare sideboard, bar cabinet, china closet that at first glance looks like a fireplace mantle, but it is an antique storage or china cabinet that used to sit in the dining room and held the dinnerware. It is all tigersawn oak, with acanthus carved oak pillars on the base and middle cabinet. It has egg and dart molding around all the doors, which are curved leaded glass. Dating from the 1880s to 1890s, this piece is in really nice condition except for one sliver of wood above the right hand pillar on the middle section that we have corrected already. It has a bevel mirror in the center, and has leaded glass with curved glass ends on the top and matching glass on the bottom. The overall condition of the glass is good with 2 small diamond cracked panels, also the lead has pulled away from two of the small pieces of glass which is nothing noticeable, but I wanted to mention it. It is a great cabinet finished in a dark oak stain finish. The overall size is 56 inches wide, 15 inches deep and 81 inches high overall. The top section are 13 inches high on the doors. The space between the top section and the bottom drawers is 23 inches. The height of the doors on the bottom are 25 inches high.
